Our Purpose...

Houston Focus on Concerns for Women, formerly Houston Financial Council for Women, was founded in 1974 to advance financial awareness in women and to encourage, support and organize educational activities that promote financial awareness in women. Through the decades our focus has broadened to include our interests in professional development, business ethics, personal and professional growth, global and financial awareness and to support activities that encourage professional, ethical, civic and fiscal responsibility for executive and entrepreneurial women.

Through this web site, our goal is to help you learn even more about our Meetings, Membership Information, Member Businesses, and the Organization in general.

The Organization...

Dynamic professional group comprised of women actively engaged in business, women retired from an active career and women still pursuing their education. Diversity is our greatest asset as membership is open to all professions.

We are proud to have members representing a wide variety of businesses and professions: realtors, lawyers, financial consultants, published authors, real estate brokers, accountants, and executives in transportation, publishing, insurance, media, travel, and others. We exchange ideas, network and provide a supportive sounding board for our members.
